1. Short version

HEIC Drop processes your images entirely on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded. We collect minimal analytics on the website and store your license key locally if you purchase one.

2. The App

HEIC Drop runs locally on your Mac. All image conversion happens on your device. No images, filenames, or file contents are ever sent to any server.

The App stores the following preferences locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults:

• Output format and JPEG quality settings
• Whether AirDrop monitoring is enabled
• Whether to delete original files after conversion

3. Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics on our website (heic-drop.app), self-hosted on our own infrastructure. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. We only see aggregate data such as page views and download counts.

4. No tracking in the App

The App itself contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind. The only network requests the App makes are for license validation.

5. Third-party services

• Plausible Analytics — website analytics only (self-hosted, no cookies, no personal data)

6. Data retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. License data is managed by Lemon Squeezy. Website analytics are aggregated and contain no personally identifiable information.
